“Bringing dance back to the Kingdom of
God has always been my vision and passion all these years,
it has never fade though there were many difficult situations.”
Says Gerlinder, a lady who had no dance background started
off the ministry. She attended a 3 months intensive training
at Sabah in 1993 with SHACHAH Creative Music & Dance Centre,
instructor Magrate Yap, the founder of tambourine dance whom
God speaks to.
BC Dance Ministry seeks to overcome attitudes that portray
dance as something of the secular realm & introduce dance
into the Christian realm where it can be used to express our
inner most feeling & desires towards God.
Dance may speak to a person in ways that a sermon or written
word may not. It is another language of presenting a message
from God, reminding us of HIS love, wonder & how HE deserves
to be praised.
We were created to have fellowship with God and to Worship
him. We are, therefore called to Worship Him. We are the Levites
today, to carry the Ark into the temple, the called ones,
the chosen ones. (I Chronicles15:2, Isaiah 52:11. 1 Peter
2:9). Praise & Worship should flow from us every moment,
everywhere – in season & out. It should be our lifestyle.
BC Dance Ministry seeks to minister to the Lord & to the
body of Christ through dance in Praise & Worship &
to grow as a ministry in love & Knowledge of our Lord
